Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal was a Bangladeshi poet, educationist, songwriter, essayist, critic, and presenter.
Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal was born on 13 March 1936 in Gobinda village, Ullahpara Upazila, Sirajganj district. He passed his M.A. in Bangla from the University of Dhaka in 1959. Then he revived a Commonwealth Scholarship for his Ph.D. on the Bengali Press and Literary Writings of 1818-1831, from the University of London in 1969.
Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal joined Chittagong University in 1973. He came back to the Bangla Department Of Dhaka University as a professor in 1978. He became the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 1984 and of the Bangla Academy in 1986.
Abu Hena Mustafa Kamal wrote 3 poetry books, wrote essays on Bangla literature. He was one the youngest songwriters of the new literature of the fifties. He was an attractive personality, an orator, a narrator, and a conversationalist.
