About this author
Adhir Biswas is an Indian Bengali writer who was born in Magura village, Jessore in 1955 in then East Pakistan (Bangladesh). Then in 1967 he moved to India and completed his schooling and graduated from Calcutta.
Like many other refugees from East Bengal, he lived in a peculiar condition, doing various words for livelihood. He first contributed stories and prose pieces to various little magazines and periodicals.
In the year 2012, the first book of Adhir Biswas was published, Allahr Jomite Paa, the first book of his series of books on his refugee memories. For the book, Adhir Biswas was awarded the Suprabha Majumdar Memorial Prize by the West Bengal Govt Bangla Academy in 2014
And he was secondly awarded for his Four-Volume collection of Stories, novellas, and Novels for young readers and was awarded the Vidyasagar Memorial Prize in 2017 by the West Bengal Govt.
