For his literary works in Children’s literature; Alam Talukder was awarded Agrani Bank Children’s Literature award in 2000. After that, he was awarded the Feather award, Jainul Abedin Award, Kadir Newaj Award, Shadhinota Award, etc. He was a liberation warfighter also.
