Dr. Partha Chattopadhyay

Dr. Partha Chattopadhyay was born at 24 Parguna District Gobordanga village. In the year 1959after graduating from his nearby college, he came to Kolkata with only 30 Taka to his name. After coming to Kolkata he joined a Newspaper. He kept his journalism work while also doing his honors graduation. Afterward suddenly getting the chance at the Commonwealth Journalist scholarship, he went to Brittain to learn more about Newspapers. 1961 was the year he returned from abroad and from then he was a journalist for 4 Newspapers for 37 years. Most of his time he was working at ‘Anondo Bazar’.

He retired in 2002 and now is a full-time writer, He has gone around the world quite a few times, and he also earned many awards. He got the Jefferson Fellowship on the year 1974.

He has written 88 books in total, Stories, novels, Travelogues, and Essays, and now he has given most of his thoughts to writing Biographies.
