Ghanashyam Chowdhury was born on 1957 October 1. Even when born in Kolkata, he was raised in Hoogly district Guptipara. His Family's original residence was in the undivided Bangla Dhaka district, Bikrompur, Rajanagar village.He studied in the nearby high school. For Family matters, he couldn't stay in school much and he also had to change school a lot.  His life struggle started even during his studies. He got his college graduation from Kolkata's Biddashagor Sondha College. He read at Kolkata University On Bangla language and literature and got his graduation degree.Over the years he has released a lot of books, and for that, he also got many awards. His notably popular works are his written children's books Rupkathar Jhapi, Sonarrogner Din, and Anondo Rupkatha.
