Kabita Singh was born in Kolkata on 21st February 1978. She was from Uttar Pradesh, She completed her schooling at Gyan Bharti Bakilika Vidhyalya, Kolkata. After her schooling, she got her degree from Calcutta University in B.com (Honours).
She started her career as a financial advisor at UP and then became a liability officer at the bank she worked there for 3 years but had to leave the job for personal reasons.
