The Memory of Her is the third book in her Gentleman Spy series, following The Innkeeper’s Daughter and The Gentleman’s Daughter. Set among Crown agents, the novel brings Eliza Broad together with Allen Strathem after his return from captivity in Crimea. Their attempt to rebuild his health becomes part of an investigation when danger follows him back to England. Schwarz studied English literature and has lived in several countries, experiences that support the series’ combination of British settings, espionage, and romantic suspense. The Memory of Her appeared in 2022 as the third Gentleman Spy entry. The novel continues Schwarz’s interest in partners who must respect each other’s competence under pressure, making recovery, trust, and shared investigative work as important to the relationship as the historical adventure surrounding it.
