Jay Asher is an American writer and novelist. He is half-Jewish. Jay Asher spent years trying to kick-start a career writing children’s picture books. In April 2017, Jay Asher faced allegations of using conferences to lure women into sexual affairs. In February 2018, the SCBWI expelled and cut ties with Jay Asher following allegations of sexual harassment.
