Author: M. Scott Peck
M. Scott Peck was an American psychiatrist and best-selling author. He gained national prominence with his groundbreaking book “The Road Less Traveled,” published in 1978. Born in New York City, Peck’s parents were Quakers. He attended the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy but found it to be a miserable experience. Later, he transferred to Friends Seminary, where he graduated. Peck earned his BA from Harvard and an MD degree from Case Western Reserve University. His career included serving in the US Army and holding administrative posts in government. As a psychiatrist, he explored the intersection of psychology and spirituality. In his second book, “People of the Lie,” Peck candidly shared his Christian commitment. He believed that evil individuals project their failures onto others. Peck co-founded the Foundation for Community Encouragement (FCE), teaching principles of community to individuals and organizations. Read the books of M.
