Fotic Chand By Satyajit Roy is another famous story by Satyajit Ray. Bablu is 12 years old boy barrister Saradindu Sanyal. Bablu kidnapped by the aging of four crooks. The crooks car meet with an accident. Two of the criminals killed in this spot. The other two criminal- Shyamlal and Raghu –run away leaving an unconscious Bablu behind. Bablu recovers next morning and finds he has lost his memory. Harun, a juggler, takes sympathy to the helpless boy, and find him a job in a tea stall is Bentinck street, Harun himself live in a slum in Entally and performs on Sunday in the maidan.

The crooks Shyamlal and Raghu who are back in Calcutta turn up in Bablu’s tea shop and realize that their prey is once within their reach. Meanwhile, Bablu’s father Mr. Sanyal decides to put an advertisement in the papers offering a reward of Rs 5000/- for information about his son. Sunday while Harun performs in the maidan with Bablu serving as an assistant. Shyamlal and Raghu turn up.Harun overpowers then and runs away with Bablu in a taxi. In the taxi, babu’s memory comes back. He tells Sharon about it. Harun takes the boy back to his father next morning unaware that the advertisement offering the reward has come out that very morning. Learning the Bablu has been working in a tea shopSanyal file into a large Instead of giving Harun the money he reprimands him. Harun goes away.

Later Sanyal has qualms about having deprived Harun of his dues. He gives Bablu the cheque and asks him to take it to Harun. Bablu rushes to Harun’s place.ony to find that he has gone to the Howrah station to catch the train to Madras where he hopes to join a circus.

Bablu manages to catch Harun in the station at the last moment, but Harun refuses to take the money. “How can I take money for handling over someone who has been like my brother?” The guards blow his whistle. I”ll be back!” shouts Harun, waving from the train.”Wait for the Great Diamond Circus!”

Satyajit Ray was an Indian filmmaker and author.  He is also one of the greatest filmmakers of the 20th century. Ray was born in a Bengali Brahmo family of Bengali Kayastha origin. His family was prominent in the field of arts and literature. Satyajit Ray Starting his career as a commercial artist. Satyajit Ray was drawn into independent filmmaking after meeting French filmmaker Jean Renoir. He inspires making a film to viewing Vittorio De Sica’s Italian film Bicycle Thieves during a visit to London.
