The Sleeper

Emily Barr’s psychological thriller “The Sleeper” is engrossing. As the loyal wife of Sam, the main character Lara Finch is thought to lead a happy existence in Cornwall. But deep down, she’s bored. She meets Guy and starts an extramarital affair after accepting a new job that requires her to go to London by sleeper train.

Iris Lara’s companion, is the only one who questions the official explanation after Lara vanishes from the night train without explanation. In her quest to locate her, Iris uncovers a web of dark secrets and past misdeeds.
