Which format should I pick?

  • PDF

    Keeps the printed page layout. Best on a computer or tablet, and for printing.

    Opens in: Any browser, or Adobe Acrobat Reader

  • EPUB

    Text reflows to fit your screen and font size. Best on a phone or e-reader.

    Opens in: Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, most e-readers

  • Read online

    Nothing to download. Opens in the reader here and remembers your place.

    Opens in: Any browser

Open it on your device

Android phone or tablet

  1. Tap Download on the book page and pick EPUB.
  2. Open the notification, or find the file in Files › Downloads.
  3. Open it with Google Play Books or another reading app.

iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap Download and pick EPUB.
  2. Tap the download icon in Safari’s address bar, then the file.
  3. Tap Share › Books to add it to Apple Books.

Computer

  1. Click Download and pick PDF or EPUB.
  2. The file goes to your Downloads folder.
  3. Open PDFs in your browser; open EPUBs with an e-reader app such as Calibre.

Kindle

  1. Download the EPUB.
  2. Send it to your Kindle with Amazon’s Send to Kindle page or app.
  3. It appears in your Kindle library after a few minutes.

If something goes wrong

The download doesn’t start

Wait a moment and try again, or try another browser. On a slow connection, large PDFs can take a minute.

The file won’t open

Your device may not have an app for that format. Try the other format, or read online instead.

Pages are missing or the text is garbled

The file may be damaged. Report it and we’ll fix or replace it.
