Salt & Honey

The book ‘Salt & Honey’ is written by Candi Miller. ‘Salt & Honey’ is set in southern Africa during Apartheid.  In the story, the character, Koba, witnesses her parents’ murder by white hunters and is taken from her Kalahari desert tribe. She learns to adapt and survive in a very dangerous environment. The book analyzes themes of racial inequality and survival in a beautifully dangerous setting.
