Serendipity

Cathy Marie Hake’s historical romance “Serendipity” takes place in Virginia and Texas. The story centers on Todd Valmer, a farmer from Texas who visits his mother, who has passed away, in Virginia. Plans, however, are altered when his mother becomes unwell while traveling.

Maggie Rose, who creates soaps, lotions, and fragrances using a special rose recipe and works as a trader, finds herself abruptly married to Todd in the meantime. The book explores into their cultural collision, misguided aspirations, and the quest to find love again.
