His Name Is John is a mystery novel. Real estate investor Elliott Smith wakes up in a hospital with a head injury and an invisible companion named John. Initially attributing John’s presence to his injury, Elliott helps John discover his identity. Their investigation leads them to a John Doe who died in the ER at the same time as Elliott.
