Circus Summer

The first book in Kailin Gow’s Circus of Curiosities series is titled “Circus Summer.” Every season, the Circus of Curiosities travels to The United, a post-apocalyptic America, bringing with it the most amazing circus acts that are exquisite, majestic, eerie, and death-defying. Young men and women from each town are selected as performers for these acts, trained, and sent to participate in a live, spectacular performance—literally to the point of death.

This summer’s circus act features two actors from Sea Cliff, a seaside community outside of The Center. To provide her mother with medical attention—she suffers from an unidentified illness—Leela Sinclair must prevail. Zachary Nile’s motivations for going into show business are equally enigmatic.
