The Truth According to Us is a novel by Annie Barrows. It follows the story of Layla Beck, the daughter of a United States senator, who is cut off from her funding and forced to find employment with the Federal Writers’ Project. Layla ends up in the remote mill town of Macedonia, West Virginia, where she becomes entangled in the complex world of the Romeyn family.
