The Sun Over Breda

The Sun Over Breda is the third installment in the Renowned Captain Alatriste series by Spanish author Arturo Pérez-Reverte. The novel is set in the 17th century and follows the adventures of Captain Alatriste, a swordsman-for-hire, as he rejoins his elite Cartagena regiment to take part in the battles and siege of Breda. The story is narrated by fifteen-year-old Íñigo Balboa, who enlists to serve as Alatriste’s aide.
