Horrie the Wog-Dog

Horrie the Wog-Dog is a book by Australian author Ion Idriess. It tells the true story of Horrie, an Egyptian terrier who was embraced by the Australian Signal Platoon of the Machine Gun Battalion during the Second World War. Despite laws against keeping pets, Horrie not only won his stripes as a valuable addition to the group but also had the further distinction of being smuggled into Australia on their return.
