The fourth book in the Franklin School Friends series is “Simon Ellis, Spelling Bee Champ” written by Claudia Mills. Simon Ellis, a third-grader with exceptional spelling skills, is the main character of the tale. His closest buddy Jackson, though, is sick of falling short of him. Simon is forced to choose between giving others a chance to excel and winning the forthcoming spelling contest. The book looks into issues of camaraderie, rivalry, and the importance of allowing others to flourish.
