Two charming homosexual Regency romance tales are included in Hollis Shiloh’s book “Loved You Once.” In the opening tale, “Loved You Once,” we follow the separated upbringing of childhood pals Sander and Paul. Paul still feels something for men, which surprises Sander when they get back together. Sander wants to avoid losing Paul despite the costs to society. In the second narrative, “Laurent St. Claire,” the main character, Laurent, discovers he is a virgin and ends his relationship with the attractive singer he has been sleeping with. Laurent doesn’t want personal issues to get in the way of his decisions at first, but he soon begins to regret his choice.
