Daughters of Men

J. Martain’s character-driven book “Daughters of Men” combines science fiction and paranormal elements. Lila, the protagonist of the tale has lived in a seaside city in North Carolina for thirty-one years while concealing her extrasensory powers. Her angels find it difficult to speak to her, her dreams get worse, and she has to devote all of her attention to raising her brilliant thirteen-year-old daughter.

Lila’s life takes an unexpected turn when a friend discloses a startling truth about her pregnancy and a mystery young man shows around. Sal on the other hand who travels among people to spot abnormalities, is defending a long-kept secret that needs to be kept safe at all costs.
