Queen of the Conquered

Kacen Callender’s grandiose fantasy book “Queen of the Conquered” is set in a realm beset by colonial oppression and draws inspiration from the Caribbean. Sigourney is now pursuing her goal of controlling every island by manipulating her way onto the royal island in an attempt to exact revenge. But as she falls victim to an unknown and terrifying sorcery, a murder mystery takes shape as the royal family are eliminated one by one. The novel explores privilege, power, and retaliation in a sumptuous and engrossing environment.
