Hopeless Magic

The first book in A.K. Koonce’s “Hopeless” series is titled “Hopeless Magic.” The story revolves around Zakara, who in her fairy tale is not a defenseless princess but a thief. Three guys who are imprisoned within the tallest tower are freed by Zakara. Her first instinct is to flee from them as soon as possible. But they possess something more fascinating than wealth: magic. Fae magic once ruled the world but it disappeared into thin air. Despite the three prisoners’ claims to be fae, she doesn’t trust them.
