Sylvia Nasar, born on August 17, 1947, is an American journalist, biographer, and professor of journalism. Born in Germany, Nasar’s family immigrated to the United States in 1951 and later moved to Turkey. She has three adult children and resides in Tarrytown, New York, with her husband, economist Darryl McLeod.
