A Stranger at Home

In A Stranger at Home, 10-year-old Margaret Pokiak returns to her Arctic home after two years at a residential school. Her mother hardly recognizes her, and Margaret has forgotten her language and culture. Feeling like an outsider, she slowly relearns her language and traditions, realizing the importance of staying true to her people and herself.
