Aunt Jane’s Nieces is a series of novels for young readers written by L. Frank Baum. The first book in the series shares with us Jane Merrick, an affluent, elderly lady preparing for her inevitable demise. Having no offspring of her own, she invites her three adolescent nieces to visit her, so she can determine who will be the beneficiary of her estate.
