Beta: Her Alpha

The second book of C. M. Steele’s “Wolfe Creek” series, “Beta: Her Alpha”. A twenty-three-year-old shifter who is past her prime for mating, Chloe Grey, and the local sheriff, Erik Smith, are the main characters in the novel. There is perplexity when Chloe’s mating instincts fail to activate despite her attraction to Erik. Although Erik knows it will be excruciating to see Chloe, the sister of the Alpha, meet her mate, he still can’t quit loving her. Tension builds up between them about their impossibly unlikely future together, and by the time Wolfe’s Den opens, they are both at their lowest points.
