Catching Fire is the second book of Suzanne Collins’s Hunger Games trilogy. After Katniss and Peeta survive the first Games, the Capitol’s revenge takes the form of the Quarter Quell, where past victors are forced back into the arena.
The book moves the series from survival story toward outright revolution. The film adaptation was widely praised, but the novel is sharper and worth reading on its own terms.
