Childhood

André Alexis’s book “Childhood” is a 1950s and 1960s Canadian novel. It chronicles the life of Canadian Thomas MacMillan, whose ancestors are from Trinidad. After being raised by his eccentric grandmother, Thomas subsequently resides in Mr. Henry Wing’s house with his mother Katarina. Mr. Wing is a significant influence on Thomas. The book looks at love, remembrance, and the legacy of the past.
