Clean

The first book in the Mindspace Investigations series “Clean,” by Alex Hughes takes place in a future in which telepaths are essential to law enforcement. The main character a disgraced former Telepath’s Guild member with a drug addiction and a turbulent past, is currently an interrogator for the police.

Though the hostility between the police and telepaths after the catastrophic Tech Wars keeps him on a tight leash, his exceptional ability to penetrate suspects’ brains makes him indispensable. He must hunt down a vicious serial murderer who is prowling the city while battling his issues and coping with a terrifying vision of his death.
