The discussion that follows, focuses on Science Fiction novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” written by Philip K. Dick was published in 1968. The story occurs one hundred and ninety nine years after a nuclear war that killed many of the territorial animals — many of them are endangered or have become extinct.
The plot of the novel is dominated by Rick Deckard, a special bounty hunter who ‘retires,’ that is, kills six escaped Nexus-6 androids, and the second protagonist is John Isidore, a human at the Perm Complex with less than average IQ, assisting the escaping androids. The original conceptual book offered the storyline for the film Blade Runner made in 1982 and it’s sequel, Blade Runner 2049 in 2017.
