Everything is Illuminated

“Everything Is Illuminated” is the first novel by American writer Jonathan Safran Foer. The book received critical acclaim for its inventive writing and structure, which intertwines two narratives: one is a fictionalized account of the Jewish shtetl of Trochenbrod in Poland before the Holocaust, and the other is a semi-autobiographical story of Foer’s journey to Ukraine in search of his family’s past.
