Facing the Giants

Alex Kendrick’s inspirational novel “Facing the Giants” is based on the popular film of the same name. The main character of the tale is Grant Taylor the high school football coach who is about to lose his job following six straight seasons of poor results. In addition, his personal life is in disarray due to his failing attempts to create a family, his car breaking down all the time, and his house collapsing.

Nevertheless, he discovers a new goal for his football squad after receiving a message from an unexpected guest. Grant and his Shiloh Eagles must face overwhelming odds, face their fears, and rise to their ultimate test of bravery and grit.
