Flight from the USSR

The first book written by well-known Georgian novelist Dato Turashvili, Flight from the USSR, explores a terrible and thrilling experience. An airline from Tbilisi to Leningrad was hijacked in 1983 by a teenage actor named Gega Kobakhidze and seven of his pals, who were determined to escape the USSR and get to Turkey.
