Friend Zoned

Jennifer Sucevic’s novel “Friend Zoned” is a contemporary adult sports romance that centers on Sam Harper as the main character. Since they were fourteen, the protagonist’s best friend has been Sam, the left tackle for the Barnett Bulldogs. He does, however, consider himself to be her unofficial big brother and frequently serves as a significant “cock block” in her romantic pursuits.

The protagonist starts to notice aspects about Sam that she shouldn’t be observing as their friendship develops, which causes her to experience a complex range of emotions. Themes of self-discovery, attraction, and friendship are all explored in the book. It’s a spicy, friends-to-lovers story with hilarious moments and a strong heroine who struggles with her feelings while navigating college life and football dynamics.
