In Bonnie Bryant’s Hard Hat, Stevie Lake—who believes she knows everything there is to know about getting along in New York City—meets Regina Evans, the daughter of one of her mother’s New York friends. Stevie has the opportunity to demonstrate that a horse can always come to the rescue, even in the busy metropolis, when an accident puts Regina and him in actual danger.
