James and the Giant Peach

James and the Giant Peach is a children’s novel by Roald Dahl that tells the story of James Henry Trotter, a young boy who lives with his cruel aunts, Spiker and Sponge, after his parents are eaten by a rhinoceros. One day, James discovers a giant peach growing in his garden and crawls inside, embarking on a surreal adventure with a group of magically altered garden bugs.

The book was first published in 1961 and has been re-illustrated over the years by various artists, including Quentin Blake. It has been adapted into a film of the same name in 1996 and a musical in 2010.
