Layer Cake

Written by J.J. Connolly ‘Layer Cake’ is the debut novel. It is set in 1990s London and is narrated by an unnamed 29-year-old drug dealer who plans to retire at the age of thirty. His retirement plan is involved by a large shipment of stolen ecstasy, German neo-Nazis who want the drugs back, uncertain friends, and his boss, kingpin Jimmy Price, who charges him with the task of recovering the missing daughter of a wealthy socialite.
