Letters from a Stoic is a collection of 124 letters written by Lucius Annaeus Seneca to his friend Lucilius. The letters were written at the end of Seneca’s life, during his retirement, after he had worked for Emperor Nero for more than ten years. The letters are a treatise on Stoic philosophy and cover a wide range of topics, including the contempt of death, the value of friendship, and virtue as the supreme good.
