Life and Fate

Life and Fate by Grossman is a vast, the profundity of which points its setting at the Battle of Stalingrad in the Second World War. Grossman is filling his book with the various characters, revealing and explaining to the readers the essence of the war, totalitarianism, and the human’s ability to survive. It is a rich, moving, and vitalistic work: at the same time it is a reflection on the conditions of existence and the responsibilities of living.
