Gill McKnight’s story “Little Dip” takes place in 1977. Wildlife photographer and illustrator Connie Fortune gets hired to locate a rare bird in the Little Dip Valley. But the agreement is ruined by an altercation with the owner of the valley, Sylvie Garoul, and her arrogant daughter, Marie Garoul. Because of the peculiar events in the valley, Connie isn’t sure who to side with.
