Magic Shifts

The eighth book in the Kate Daniels series is “Magic Shifts,” written by Ilona Andrews. Mercenary Kate Daniels and her partner, the former Beast Lord Curran Lennart, are acclimating to a drastically altered pace following their departure from the Pack. In post-Shift Atlanta, magic is ebbing and flowing, carrying danger with it on each wave.

Kate and Curran decide to look into their buddy Eduardo’s disappearance after learning of his disappearance. They learn that Eduardo’s recent missions have a nefarious connection to the Mercenary Guild and that the Mercenary Guild has collapsed as they explore deeper into the Mercenary Guild’s operations.
