Middle Passage

Middle Passage book is set in 1830 and tracks the protagonist Rutherford Calhoun, a freed slave, and rogue, who keeps away on a slave ship called the Republic to run a forced marriage1. The ship is tied to Africa to capture members of the Allmuseri tribe to take back to America to sell as slaves.
