Our Wayward Fate tells the story of Ali Chu, a 17-year-old Asian girl living in a mostly white Midwestern town. She faces racism and stereotypes at school until Chase Yu, a Taiwanese American student, arrives. They bond over martial arts and share experiences, but family secrets challenge Ali’s understanding of life and love.
