Siege and Sacrifice

The fascinating conclusion of Charlie N. Holmberg’s Numina Trilogy is Siege and Sacrifice. Now that she has successfully escaped her master’s scheme to turn her into a conduit for the extinct monster Kolosos, Sandis must overcome a new obstacle. Kolosos finds it impossible to use her brother Anon, who was long believed to be dead. The big, ancient beast seemed to be unbeatable.

Luckily, Sandis has her monster: a firehorse that exists only in her imagination. Along with Rone, they unearth old knowledge that might be essential to stopping Kolosos and rescuing Anon. However, the cost is high, and they have to choose the sacrifices they’re prepared to make when put to the test in unexpected ways.
