Substance

“Substance” is a novel by Ashlyn Forge, part of The Careless series. The story follows Philippe, who desires a better life than what the slums offer. His father, a miner, has worked hard to provide for him, sacrificing his health in the process. Now, it’s Philippe’s turn to provide, and he sees becoming a guard as his only chance to improve their lives.
