The Christmas Knot

The interesting story “The Christmas Knot: A Slightly Gothic Regency Mystery Romance Novella” by Barbara Monajem is set in the Regency period. The story revolves around Edwina White, a poor widow who takes a job as a governess in a remote town in northern England a house that locals claim is haunted. Her new employer is Sir Richard Ballister, the man who deceived her many years ago.

Richard acquired a cursed and haunted estate and every governess he hires leaves within a week. Richard and Edwina must cooperate to detangle a centuries-old knot and put an end to the Christmas curse, despite their pasts and current difficulties. The first edition of the book was published on 11 November 2015.
