Francis Clement Kelley’s collection of stories, “The City and the World and Other Stories,” draws on his experiences as a writer, diplomat, and the second Bishop of Oklahoma. The stories deal with a variety of subjects, such as the world and the city, Alta’s resurrection, the dead man, and a dollar’s autobiography. The book is proof of Kelley’s skillful writing and his capacity to pluck out institutionalized hatred and ignorance and replace them with seeds of truth.
