The Minor French Novelists is a collection of essays by Henry James. In this work, James delivers an in-depth analysis of the works of some lesser-known French novelists of the 19th century. Some of the authors concerned have Octave Feuillet, Gustave Flaubert, Ernest Feydeau, Edmond About, Mme. de Goncourt, Gustave Droz, the younger Dumas, Victor Cherbuliez, and Erckmann-Chatrian.
